Then I heard a manīs voice yelling eagerly "It must be up here! Hurry up, you two - we only got three hours
!!!" And out of the fog came the very pixi like face of Tony Robinson.
Behind him a tall man with a broadrimmed hat on his head and some shovels slung over his shoulder appeared
with a short round friendly-looking man following him and saying "Will you slow down, Tone! If this rumour really is
true queen Boudicea ainīt going to go away"
I breathed deeply feeling relieved seeing these three. I was still inside Meepsī imagination so I would
get home alright in the end.
Tony smiled hi to me and without even commenting on the little tiger sniffing his sneakers turned around
and said fervently "Of course it is true, Mick! It was all in the diary - Morse told me last night !!! You see - there was
this developer who killed the archaeologist who had said he was not to build the houses the developer has already sold - because
there was a roman villa in the ground. See? And that unfortunate now late archaeologist had written a diary which Lewis
found and Morse read - and which had nothing to do woth the case actually ... But in that book the man says Boudicea was NOT
killed by the Romans after all! But excaped here to Tara and marry the high king of the day. And this is the hill
she is burried in - dig please, Phil !!!"
Lewis - Morse? Thames Valley CID ... Yep *o* This was my sweet little bird having fun *O*
"Sure" the peaceful Phil Harding smiled "But you, that young man and especially that cute, but oversize little
kitten has to get out of the way before I can do so. And no, you may most certainly not help dig, Tony! Or the queen will
- with every right, I might add - haunt me to the end of my days"
Tony pouted a little hearing this. But then picked up the by now purring cub and moved out
of the way as he was told.
Mick, being a nice - and curious - man asked me what I was doing there so early. If I had been
out drinking beer with Morse to the early hours of the morning like Tony?
So I tried to explain. Tried to although I am not sure how much they understood. Or believed for that matter.
And then sighed "I am not sure how to get home now though ... You three are from a television series which I love watching
with Meeps but that means there are no bookworm holes around I can go through"
"You really want to go home?" Tony asked amased. Like he couldnīt understand anybody wanting to do that
when there was exciting things to discover right here.
But when I nodded - being a bit worried for Meeps and missing her - he smiled. And since all pixis can do
magic as easily as breathing he just padded my cheek and said "Have a nice trip home then, my boy"
And there I was - back at the hospital just in time to see a giggling Meeps and her darling professor Jones
- oh, O.K. Meeps - I love the old charmer too - come in from the outside.
End of story
*O*
Oh, and the tiger cub ... Mick Ashton persuaded Tony that it needed its mum more than he, Tony, needed
a pet. On the other hand they never did find the queen - so Tony had nothing to show for his
morning out -_-
But then again queen Boadicea wonīt have to haunt either of them either, I guess. ... Not even
Morse for telling Tony *O*
